Singleton of Dufftown is a Scottish single malt whisky that comes from the Speyside. It has a beautiful amber color with subtle hints of marmalade.
It ages most of the time in European oak casks. It is then bottled at 40% alcohol content.
The aroma features notes of toasted hazelnuts, fresh apple, dried fruit (e.g., dates), and brown sugar, complemented by a subtle tannin trace and hint of vanilla.
The taste is smooth and creamy: it starts with sweet notes of caramel and vanilla, followed by fruit (apple, pear), nuts, and a gentle spicy wine tannin base. The finish is medium-long, dry, and clean, with hints of dried fruit, gentle oak, and nutty character that lingers even after the last drop.
It is perfect for various mixed drinks or cocktails. The bottle comes in a very nice blue and white gift packaging.
