Singleton 18 Year Old
Pronunciation: {Singltn}Delicious 18-year-old whisky made from Speyside malt at Dufftown Distillery. Singleton gives off a quantum of creamy, malty flavors, and it's the oldest formal Dufftown we've ever tried ...
The whisky is aged primarily in American oak barrels, with a smaller proportion of European barrels, giving it a more complex character.
The aroma has intense notes of stewed fruit, berries, dark caramel, and delicate honey. The base is formed by spicy accents and hints of cigar box, which add depth to the aroma.
The taste reveals a smooth texture with rich fruit tones, chocolate, cherries, and a subtle hint of chili or spice, which give the whisky its character. The finish is smooth, dry and rounded; adding water may bring out a nutty, spicy note.
We recommend serving it neat or with a little water, in a glass that allows the aromas to develop (Glencairn, tulip).
