Singleton 15 Year Old from Dufftown matures in a combination of European and American oak casks. It is both a sweet and spicy whisky, which has character and immense significance for the consumer. The charming combination of sherry cask and bourbon cask maturation has created a simple yet exceptional whisky.
On the nose, it is initially gently sweet with notes of honey, baked fruit, dry malt, and subtle wood.
On the palate, it develops a smooth fruity profile: peach, apple, vanilla, along with a delicate spicy trace (e.g., white pepper) and the dryness of the casks in the background. The finish is polished, with hints of charred wood, creamy notes, and a light sweetness that lingers.
Best served neat, at room temperature, in a Glencairn or tulip glass – a few drops of water can help open up the finer aromas.
