Providence 2021 + Gin Sul for free
The unique Providence 2021 rum ! In the sugar cane paradise of Haiti, the Italian bottler Velier, led by rum lover Luca Gargan, met with La Maison du Whisky and the Barbancourt-Linge family (descendants of the famous Barbancourt rum dynasty) to dream of having their own distillery in 2018. The Distillerie de Port au Prince revives traditional methods and techniques and produces the finest spirits from Providence sugar cane - with respect for the land, the agriculture and the people.
Providence 2021 is made from the syrup of the ancient, aromatic Cristalline sugar cane variety. This is organically grown by Michel Sajous in Saint-Michel de l'Attalaye. Fermentation with different yeasts contributes to the distinctive aroma. According to Haitian tradition, distilled twice in a copper Müller still, Haitian pure rum is aged for three years in ex-bourbon casks freshly fired and refilled and emptied from the distillery - as well as in ex-bourbon casks and former casks from the iconic 'lost distillery' Caroni.
The effect? A lively profile in which roasted sugar cane and walnuts meet candied citrus, ginger and vanilla custard before everything finishes smooth, long and complex.
The bottles are bottled at 52 % alcohol with a 0,7 l capacity and come in a gift box.
A breeze is coming from Portugal! Take your mind to the wild coast of Vincentina and enjoy a refreshing Gin Tonic in the hot sun. Botanicals originating from Portugal and distilled in a famous German distillery in Hamburg. That's Gin Sul.
Juniper distillate is produced in a small, hand-made, copper still. All alcoholic vapors in it must pass through a metal sieve in which there are herbs.
Cold, clear and soft water from the Lüneburg Heath, grapefruit-sized Portuguese lemons, juniper, fresh rosemary, and the oily resin of the cistus herb (rock rose) make GIN SUL extraordinary. The touch of the Portuguese Atlantic coast is bottled in typical white clay bottles, which protect the gin from light and heat.
