G'Vine is produced in the French region of Cognac - which hints at what this unique gin contains. It is actually made from Ugni Blanc grapes and some more common ingredients like ginger root, licorice, cardamom, Chinese cinnamon, coriander, cubeb berries, nutmeg, lime, and even a bit of juniper.
Aroma: it doesn't smell like gin right away... grape notes prevail, but you'll also find balancing citrus and cardamom tones.
Taste: grape is dominant in flavor as well. The gin is tasty with pronounced fresh botanicals, especially high citrus and ginger notes. The grape adds a pleasant sweetness. Almost like flavored vodka.
Finish: very clean, very pleasant. Herbal and grassy tones with a slightly mineral taste.
Overall impression: this is a unique drink, something between gin and flavored vodka. We could (and probably will!) spend hours and hours with cocktail recipes using G'Vine.
