Providence 2021
Unique rum Providence 2021! In the paradise of sugar cane in Haiti, the Italian bottler Velier, under the guidance of rum lover Luca Gargano, along with La Maison du Whisky and the Barbancourt-Linge family (descendants of the famous rum dynasty Barbancourt), dreamed of their own distillery in 2018. Distillerie de Port au Prince revives traditional methods and techniques, producing the finest distillates from Providence sugar cane - with respect for the land, agriculture, and people.
Providence 2021 is made from the syrup of the ancient aromatic variety of Cristalline sugar cane. It is organically cultivated by Michel Sajous in Saint-Michel de l'Attalaye. The distinctive aroma is also enhanced by fermentation with various yeasts. According to Haitian tradition, double distilled in a copper Müller still, the Haitian white rum matures for three years in former, freshly charred and refilled and emptied barrels from the distillery - as well as in ex-bourbon barrels and former barrels from the cult "lost distillery" Caroni.
The effect? A vibrant profile where roasted sugar cane and walnuts meet with candied citrus fruits, ginger, and vanilla pudding, before everything finishes softly, long, and complex.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 52% with a volume of 0.7 l and are delivered in a gift box.
