Clément Canne Bleue Rum 2022 is, like previous vintages, a single-varietal agricultural rum AOC Martinique.
For this 2022 vintage, the bottle design is colorful and disruptive in an electric, unconventional style. Two colors were chosen: blue, representing the freshness of flavor, and yellow for citrus notes.
This rum was made from pure sugarcane juice in a copper Creole Column at the Simon distillery. It was then reduced and very slowly distilled for 6 months before being bottled.
The aroma opens with a candied profile, featuring sugarcane and fragrant, sweet citrus fruits. Then a certain softness and smoothness emerge, soon contrasting with the drier, spicy fiber of the cane.
On the palate, the sugarcane juice is bright, lively, and clean. Its clarity is not overshadowed by fruit or spice, so it stays true to its path. We trace the fibers of the cane up its stalk. Starting from its sweet base and moving upward, where the wind blows and the sun shines.
The finish is relatively light, with a hint of saltiness.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 50% with a bottle volume of 0.7 l.
