Equiano Light Rum is a young white Afro-Caribbean rum created by two authorities in the world of rum, Ian Burrell and Richard Seale. It is a combination of fine-grained molasses rum from the Caribbean island of Barbados from the renowned local distillery Foursquare Rum Distillery and fresh sugar cane juice from the African island of Mauritius, produced by Gray's Distillery. It is rum, which is a perfect example of the fact that even young and white rums can be as sophisticated as dark rums aged for years. The taste profile develops the typical grass-vegetable taste of rum from sugar cane juice, tropical fruit, delicate dry tones of oak wood with predominant vanilla and citrus peel.
Equiano Light Rum is best enjoyed in classic cocktails.
We especially recommend it as the basis of the Daiquiri cocktail.
