Equiano Light Rum is a young white Afro-Caribbean rum created by two authorities in the rum world, Ian Burrell and Richard Seale.
It is a blend of gently aged molasses rum from the Caribbean island of Barbados from the renowned local distillery Foursquare Rum Distillery and fresh sugarcane juice from the African island of Mauritius, produced by Gray’s Distillery.
This rum is a perfect example that even young and white rums can be just as sophisticated as aged dark rums. The flavor profile develops a typical grassy-vegetal taste of rums from sugarcane juice, tropical fruits, subtle dry oak notes with dominant vanilla and citrus peel.
Equiano Light Rum is best enjoyed in classic cocktails. We especially recommend it as a base for a Daiquiri cocktail.
