Equiano Ominira

The first release of the Legacy Blend by Equiano, which celebrates the art of blending African and Caribbean heritage and the remarkable journey of the rum's namesake Olaudah Equiano.

In the Yoruba language, spoken by many inhabitants of West Africa where Equiano was born, Ominira means "freedom." The freedom to create and unite historic rums from two continents, two cultures, two distilleries.

A rare blend of perfectly aged rums distilled by Foursquare Distillery and Gray's Distilleries, matured in bourbon and cognac casks with a hint of sherry cask rum, contributing to its incredible depth and richness.

This creation, aged for a minimum of 11 tropical years and bottled at an alcohol content of 52%, reflecting the age of our main character at the beginning of his extraordinary journey and at his death in 1797, is a true testament to the passage of time and the art of blending.

The result is an exceptional piece of rum history - a rum that embodies Equiano's freedom and spirit. An invitation to celebrate, toast, and share with friends.

Bottles have a volume of 0.7 l and are delivered in gift tubes.
