Gordon & MacPhail is an iconic family business from Elgin, Scotland, founded in 1895 by James Gordon and John Alexander MacPhail. Originally a traditional wine and grocery shop, it soon transformed into a center of whisky expertise. Since 1915, the Urquhart family has taken over, imprinting the brand with its current character – an emphasis on craftsmanship, patience, and a deep understanding of single malt whisky.

Gordon & MacPhail has become a pioneer in independent bottling. As one of the first, they began sourcing distillate from various distilleries and allowing it to mature in their own casks, carefully selected according to the style and character of each distillery.
