Gordon & MacPhail Discovery Miltonduff Sherry 10 Year Old

This 10-year-old edition from the Miltonduff distillery, bottled by independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail as part of the Discovery range, offers an ideal introduction to Speyside sherry-matured whisky. The Discovery series is designed to clearly highlight the dominant flavour profile - in this case, Sherry Cask Matured.

The whisky matured in carefully selected sherry casks, which imparted a characteristic combination of dark fruits, gentle spice and elegant sweetness.

On the nose, it reveals notes of raisins, stewed plums, fig jam, a delicate almond touch and a hint of caramel.

The palate is dominated by dried fruit, chocolate, sweet oak and soft spice. You will also find nuances of nuts, subtle honey and the velvety sweetness typical of quality sherry maturation.

The finish is medium-long and smooth, with lingering tones of cocoa powder, dried plums and pleasantly warming spice.
