This 25-year-old edition of Scotch whisky comes from the Glenburgie distillery, whose smooth, fruity, and silky distillation style is highly valued by connoisseurs and independent bottlers alike. The independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail has included it in their iconic Distillery Labels series, which features traditional labels and highlights the original character of individual distilleries.
The whisky matured for approximately a quarter of a century in ex-sherry casks, resulting in significant depth, sweet fruity notes, and a balanced oak touch. Bottled at 46% ABV, it preserves its natural character without chill filtration.
On the nose, notes of ripe apples, pear syrup, plum cake, gentle caramel sweetness, honey, and soft sherry influence emerge. There are also hints of dried fruit and subtle oak spiciness.
