Add a tasting glass and elevate your experience to the next level!
This edition comes from the Speyburn distillery and was bottled by the independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail as part of the premium range Connoisseurs Choice, which specializes in limited single cask or small-batch bottlings at natural cask strength.
Distilled in 2008 and bottled after long maturation, the whisky retains its natural color, is non-chill filtered, and bottled at a remarkable cask strength of 60.2% ABV, ensuring a concentrated, authentic, and uncompromising flavor.
The nose reveals notes of ripe pears, candied citrus fruits, tropical tones, caramel and subtle vanilla. In the background, a spicy character develops with hints of citrus peel and sweet oak.
The palate is full and intense, featuring honeyed apples, pear compote, creamy caramel, ginger, white pepper and gradually revealing notes of malt, citrus marmalade and delicate toasted oak notes.
The finish is long, warming, with a combination of sweet spices, citrus freshness, vanilla oak and a pleasant fruity aftertaste.
This expression is an excellent choice for fans of Speyside whisky looking for higher intensity and complexity in the form of cask strength.
