Glenmorangie A Tale Of Forest
Pronunciation: {Glen-morendží}Fresh and attractively herbal, Glenmorangie A Tale Of the Forest is the first Glenmorangie whisky made from barley dried with forest botanicals.
Inspired by the ever-changing natural wonders encountered during his walks in the forest near his home, Dr. Bill Lumsden, the director of whisky creation at Glenmorangie, brought an ancient method of drying barley with botanicals. In this case, he chose juniper berries, birch bark, and heather flowers.
With Glenmorangie A Tale Of the Forest, the distillery once again demonstrates its love for experimentation. The forest-influenced whisky then matured in former and re-filled ex-bourbon casks before being bottled at an alcohol content of 46%.
This single malt whisky, evoking the scents, sounds, and sights of the forest, envelops your senses with aromas of pine, juniper, and coriander, interwoven with hints of smoke. Then flavors of dark green eucalyptus, illuminated by rays of bitter orange, transition into a slow, gently oaky finish.
The fragrant forest depths of this whisky inspired illustrator Pomme Chan to dream up her own fantastical forest. Her artwork celebrating the flavor of the whisky is featured on the whisky's packaging.
