Set Kilchoman
Kilchoman Machir Bay is an excellent but mainly high-quality Scotch single malt whisky, originating from the Islay. The Kilchoman distillery was opened in 2005, making it (so far) the second youngest distillery in this region. This bottling is named Machir Bay after a small but very beautiful beach on the island of Islay.
The whisky aged for approximately 6 years, with most of the distillate maturing in first- and second-fill ex-bourbon casks, while a portion (about 10%) of the distillate aged in first-fill ex-sherry Oloroso casks, resulting in an amazingly balanced flavor profile.
It has a fantastically pleasant aroma with notes of vanilla cookies, orchard fruits, and warm peaty smoke. On the palate, this whisky is silky smooth and rounded, featuring notes of earthy peat, lemon juice, oak, vanilla and a hint of sour forest fruits.
Bottled at 46% alcohol by volume, without coloring or chill filtration.
We recommend serving it with a drop of water, but it tastes best neat at room temperature. It comes in a very nice blue and gold gift packaging.

Whisky Sanaig from Kilchoman Distillery is named after the bay on the rugged Atlantic coast of the Islay region.
Approximately 70% of the distillate matured in first-fill ex-sherry Oloroso casks and about 30% of the distillate matured in first- and second-fill ex-bourbon casks. The high proportion of Oloroso sherry imparts flavors of dried fruits, raisins, and baking spices to the whisky, while the ex-bourbon component retains the typical citrus and peat profile of this distillery.
The result is a balanced single malt whisky with a complex aroma, smooth taste, and a medium-length, slightly spicy and smoky finish, perfectly representing the style and character of Kilchoman Distillery.

Kilchoman Uniquely Islay Batch Strength is part of the Core Range Trilogy from the Islay distillery and is likely to be released annually in the future.
This single malt whisky showcases the natural strength and maritime character of the Kilchoman distillery. The intense island distillate matures in freshly charred red wine casks, Oloroso sherry casks, and bourbon casks.
With a few drops of Kilchoman spring water, the alcohol content reaches 57 %.
You will be amazed by the aroma of cherries, heather flowers, and smoky notes. On the palate, you will taste salty caramel and strong peat. A true and powerful single malt from Kilchoman!
