Isle of Skye 8 Year Old is a Scotch whisky from the Isle of Skye from Ian Macleod. It is crafted from a secret family recipe and Icelandic traditions using fine Speyside and Highland malts and grain whiskies. The youngest whisky in the blend is aged for at least 8 years, but most of the malts used are even older. They were then all matured together for a further 6 months in oak casks.
The honey-vanilla notes and sweet Speyside flavours, combined with the smoky and peaty influences of the Island whiskies, combine to create a superbly balanced and distinctive blend. The Isle of Skye whisky has also garnered high praise from Jim Murray, who called it a 'superstar whisky' in his 2019 Whisky Bible.
The bottlings are bottled at 40 % ABV with a 0,7 l alcohol content. We recommend serving on its own or in a variety of mixed drinks.

The Macleod's Regional Malts collection is a perfect introduction to the world of Scottish single malt whiskey. It contains a selection of single malt Scotch whiskeys, which according to Macleod's are the most representative for the region.
The Lowland region is located south of the imaginary line between Dundee and Greenock, and whiskeys from there are famous for their softness. These well-defined malt whiskeys, which are often distilled three times, are light rather than intense and have a predominantly floral character. The Macleod's Lowland single malt whiskey has a fresh and floral aroma and a clean and mild citrus flavor. She matured for 8 years in oak barrels.
