Glen Scotia 12 Year Old Icons of Campbeltown
The very first limited edition in Glen Scotia's Icons of Campbeltown series, celebrating stories of community spirit. The Mermaid recalls the many sightings of mermaids on their shores. The 12-year-old single malt whisky has been specially finished in ex-sherry Palo Cortado casks to reflect the rarity of a mermaid's glimpse. It is bottled at 54,1 % cask strength, with no chill filtration and a natural colour.
Expect aromas of sea salt crystals, ship varnish and edible seaweed against a backdrop of tarte tatin, marmalade and caramel notes. The creamy palate delivers sweet French apple pie and a pinch of salt before a long, warming and spicy finish.
The bottle comes in a gorgeous turquoise and gold gift box featuring a mermaid.
