Glen Scotia 12 Year Old
Glen Scotia 12 Year Old is an elegant single malt from the historic Campbeltown region, once known as the “Whisky Capital of the World.” This expression balances the region’s signature maritime notes with fruit sweetness and gentle spice.
Distilled at the Glen Scotia Distillery, founded in 1832, it is aged for 12 years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, which give it depth, sweetness, and subtle spicy notes.
It is bottled at 46% ABV, without cold filtering or coloring.
The aroma is reminiscent of vanilla, honey, citrus, green apples, tropical fruit, and sea breeze, complemented by subtle hints of caramel and oak spice. The taste is rich and balanced, with notes of honey, pears, vanilla, nutmeg, and a subtle sea saltiness. The finish is longer and drier, with lingering notes of oak, sea salt, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, and black pepper.
A classic Campbeltown whisky that showcases the region’s balance of maritime minerality and Highland elegance – best enjoyed neat or with a drop of water.
