Auchentoshan American Oak comes from the Scottish lowlands. It is a triple-distilled single malt Scotch whisky that has been matured in first- and second-fill American oak barrels.
Auchentoshan is a unique Scottish distillery that practices triple distillation - a process that is relatively unusual for Scottish distilleries - giving its distillate a smoother and sweeter texture. American Oak is matured exclusively in American oak barrels.
The taste is light and bright with a generous dose of vanilla sweetness, complemented by coconut and juicy citrus notes. This whisky stands out for its taste. It is ideal for all your favorite toasts – on its own, in whisky cocktails, but also in combination with beer.
It is recommended with an ice cube, which will "open up" the tropical and vanilla notes while gently softening the alcohol notes. Great in cocktails as a fresh lowland ingredient, for example in Whisky & Ale, but also in classic mixed drinks, where you will appreciate its sweet and creamy character without any significant dominance.
