This gin is named after the 135th degree of east longitude, which runs directly through the city of Akashi, where this gin is produced. The city has served as a reference point for determining the standard Japanese time zone since 1888.

Sir Edmond is a premium Dutch gin with a very pronounced vanilla aroma. It is made from bourbon vanilla sourced from the island of Réunion, juniper from Macedonia, angelica root from Greenland, cardamom from Guatemala, ginger from Nigeria, and cinnamon from China.
