Bruichladdich Octomore 13.1 / 137.3ppm
Octomore 13.1 is a fantastic but primarily peaty single malt whisky from the Scottish distillery Bruichladdich. It is made exclusively from premium barley grown on the Isle of Islay, with a phenol content of 137.3ppm.
It was distilled in 2016 and aged for 5 years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks made of American oak, which imparted subtle vanilla notes full of spice and nuts. Finally, it was bottled in beautiful matte black bottles with a high 59.2% alcohol content.
It is non-chill filtered and contains no coloring. Spring water from the Isle of Islay was used in its production. It belongs to the limited series The Impossible Equation. The whisky comes in a minimalist gray tin gift tube. We recommend serving it neat at room temperature or with a cube of ice.
