The GlenAllachie 21 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 7 is a premium Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, representing one of the highest expressions of The GlenAllachie distillery style. This is the seventh batch of the 21-year-old release, crafted under the guidance of Billy Walker, with a focus on deep sherry character, complexity, and the natural expression of the whisky without unnecessary alterations.
The whisky first matured in bourbon casks and then aged in carefully selected Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks of puncheon and hogshead types from Spain. This combination delivers a rich, dark, and layered profile with notes of espresso, spiced plums, dark chocolate, and forest fruits.
The nose reveals baked ginger, mocha coffee, honeycomb, spiced orange, candied hazelnuts, toasted cinnamon, and cocoa. The palate continues with notes of black cherries, mocha coffee, poached red apples, mānuka honey, crystallized ginger, muscovado sugar, plums, raisin cream, and molasses.
The GlenAllachie 21 Year Old Batch 7 is bottled at natural cask strength, with no added coloring and no chill filtration. This results in an intense, concentrated, and authentic experience, with a long sherry finish that will be appreciated by fans of full-bodied and complex Speyside whiskies.
