Stará Škola Slivovica is distilled at Château Topoľčianky, the Stará Škola brand was established in 2020 during the renovation of a historic building under the vineyard in Topoľčianky.

The production process utilizes modern technology – double-walled copper still for even and gentle heating. The distillate is separated in a three-stage copper rectification column with a large deflegmator, achieving a pure and distinctly aromatic distillate, without the bitterness typical of low-quality products.

The "Comfort" method means distillation at a lower temperature and slower pace – ideal for preserving the richness of fruity aromas typical of slivovica.

The brand Stará Škola, part of Chateau Topoľčianky, draws from over 150 years of distilling tradition in the Topoľčianky region. It is a tribute to the craft and Slovak fruits – in the product portfolio, you will find only fruit distillates from selected crops, without artificial aromas or additives. The goal is to combine original history with the highest quality standards – a modern approach to traditional recipes.

Slivovica has a high alcohol content of 52%, indicating a pleasant fullness and intensity of the spirit. The aroma is dominated by ripe plums, subtly complemented by honeyed and sweet fruity notes – typical for quality fruit distillation. In taste, slivovica is full, slightly sweet, and refreshing, with a more pronounced fruity juiciness and a hint of a warming finish. The texture is smooth, without sharp or alcoholic notes, resulting from careful separation during distillation.
