Plum Brandy Page 1 of 3

Slivovica is one of the most famous and traditional fruit distillates in our region. It is made by distilling fermented plums and is characterized by a strong aroma, gentle sweetness, and a smooth fruity aftertaste. Quality slivovica is clear, has a pure fruit tone, and feels warm and harmonious on the palate.

How Quality Slivovica is Made

The foundation is the selection of ripe plums with enough sugar and aroma. After fermentation, slow distillation in copper stills follows, resulting in a drink full of character and fruity depth. Some slivovicas also age in oak barrels, which gives them a subtle golden hue and hints of vanilla or wood.

How to Enjoy It

Serve slivovica at room temperature in a small tasting glass – this is the best way to highlight its aroma and warming flavor. It pairs wonderfully after a meal as a digestif, but also makes a great gift for those who appreciate honest craftsmanship and purity of taste.
