Old School Plum Brandy 0.5l

Stará Škola Plum Brandy is distilled at Château Topoľčianky, and the Stará Škola brand was established in 2020 during the renovation of a historic building below the vineyard in Topoľčianky.

The production process uses modern technology – a double-shell copper boiler for even and gentle heating. The distillate is separated in a three-stage copper rectification column with a large deflegmator, resulting in a pure and distinctly aromatic distillate without the bitterness typical of poor-quality products.

The ‘Komfort’ method means distillation at a lower temperature and a slower pace – ideal for preserving the rich fruit aromas typical of slivovitz.

The Stará Škola brand, part of Chateau Topoľčianky, draws on more than 150 years of distilling tradition in the Topoľčianky region. It is a tribute to craftsmanship and Slovak fruit – the production portfolio includes only fruit distillates from selected crops, without artificial flavours or additives. The aim is to combine original history with the highest quality standards – a modern approach to traditional recipes.

Plum Brandy has a high alcohol content of 52 %, which indicates a pleasant fullness and intensity. The aroma is dominated by ripe plums, delicately complemented by honey and sweet fruit tones – typical of high-quality fruit distillation. The taste of slivovica is full, delicately sweet and fresh at the same time, with a more pronounced fruitiness and a hint of a warm finish. The texture is smooth, without any sharp or alcoholic tones, which is the result of careful separation during distillation.
