The special edition Loch Lomond The Open Special Edition 2023 is created on the occasion of the 151st edition of the Open tournament in the English royal city of Liverpool in collaboration with golf ambassador Colin Montgomerie.
Master Blender Michael Henry crafted this exceptional single malt together with Colin Montgomerie to explore the influence of elegant Spanish wine casks Rioja Alta Reserva on the characteristic style of Loch Lomond. This single malt whisky matured in American oak casks, after which Michael hand-selected a range of casks for finishing in Rioja Alta Reserva to add further depth of flavor to the characteristic distillery style.
We recommend serving it neat or with a cube of ice. The whisky is not chill-filtered, bottled at an alcohol content of 46 %.
