Glenmorangie Lasanta 12 Year Old is an elegant single malt whisky from the Scottish Highlands, whose name comes from Gaelic and means "warmth and passion." From the very first sip, it has a warm and full-bodied taste, which is the result of a careful production process. It is distilled in the legendary tall copper stills of the Glenmorangie distillery, which are the tallest in Scotland and produce a smooth and pure distillate.

The whisky is first aged for about ten years in American oak bourbon barrels, where it acquires its sweetness, vanilla, and delicate oak notes. It is then aged for another two years in Spanish Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, which give it its characteristic depth, fruitiness, and spicy notes. It is bottled at an alcohol content of 43 %, which enhances its full flavor.

Lasanta's aroma brings notes of dried raisins, honey, caramel, and chocolate nuts, complemented by a subtle touch of cinnamon. The palate develops a complex palette of dried fruit, orange, nougat, and nuts, mixed with honey sweetness and hints of chocolate. The finish is long and warm, with echoes of orange, cinnamon, hazelnut, and a subtle cocoa bitterness.

It is best enjoyed neat at room temperature, but a few drops of water can reveal the more delicate layers of its fruity and nutty character. It is the ideal companion to dark chocolate, orange desserts or nut cakes, which beautifully complement its rich and passionate nature.
