The GlenAllachie 13 Year Old Single Cask 2013 Selected by Billy Walker for Slovakia is an exceptional Scottish single malt whisky created specifically for the Slovak market. The cask was personally selected by the renowned Master Distiller Billy Walker, one of the most experienced figures in the contemporary whisky world.
The whisky was distilled on April 25, 2013, and bottled at the age of 13 in May 2026. It comes from a single cask no. 6579 of Pedro Ximénez hogshead. Unlike regular bottlings that are created by blending whisky from multiple casks, each bottle of this edition comes from the same carefully selected cask.
The Pedro Ximénez cask has created an intense and richly layered character. The aroma combines candied hazelnuts, mocha, and poached pear with molasses, muscovado sugar, baking spices, heather honey, and plum jam. The taste brings winter truffle, black pepper, and dried figs, followed by heather honey, orange peel, mocha, dark sugar syrup, and black cherries.
The whisky was bottled at a natural cask strength of 61.5%, with no added color and no chill filtration. This preserves the authentic color, texture, and full intensity of the single cask.
From cask no. 6579, only 343 bottles were produced.
This new bottling follows the previous Slovak Single Cask edition from 2009, but comes from a different cask and offers a completely new flavor profile shaped by the sweet Pedro Ximénez sherry.
We recommend enjoying it neat at room temperature. A few drops of water can gradually reveal additional fruity, nutty, and spicy layers at 61.5% strength.
