Don Papa Masskara Street Art
This limited edition Masskara rum comes in a new gift tube and was designed by artists Onie Jackson and Guillaume Garriér, who have previously won the Don Papa French Contemporary Art Competition, part of the brand's renowned global art program.
The gift tube is completely different from other artistic works of the brand, inspired by cubism and street art. The artists aimed to capture the fauna and flora of Negros Island while incorporating musical instruments in a unique style.
The rum is inspired by the story of Dionisio Magbuelas, known as "Don Papa." He used the finest sugarcane in the world to create his famous product line. It is a slightly fruity rum, positively acclaimed by connoisseurs. Don Papa Masskara is distilled from molasses - known as "black gold" - and then aged in American oak barrels.
The rum is blended with a pot still infusion of calamansi - Philippine lime and siling labuyo - Philippine chili pepper and sweetened with regional honey.
