Don Papa Alon is distilled on the island of Negros from local molasses, then infused with flavors of roasted coconut, jackfruit, and mild chili - inspired by the traditional Filipino dish Ginataang Langka.
This makes this rum radically different from the sweeter standard edition – it is fresher, lighter, but at the same time exotically distinctive.
The aroma is dominated by notes of roasted coconut, lime, grilled pineapple, papaya, mango, lychee, jasmine and vanilla, which create a fresh and exotically appealing bouquet.
The taste is creamy, rich and fruity – with a distinct sweetness, tropical fruit (mango, peach, figs), a subtle hint of spice and a touch of lemon. The finish is long, tropical and harmonious, with returning notes of coconut, vanilla and pineapple.
It tastes great neat, on the rocks or as a base for summer cocktails. It pairs well with cola, ginger beer or coconut water with lime for a tropical twist.
The bottles are filled with 40 % alcohol and have a volume of 0,7 l.
