The limited edition rum Don Papa Masskara was created in honor of the festival in the Philippines, on the island of Negros, which is called Masskara (nicknamed the Smile party - Celebration of Smiles).
The rum is inspired by the story of Dionisio Magbuelasa, who was known as "Don Papa". He used the finest sugarcane in the world to create his famous product line. It is a lightly fruity rum, positively appreciated by connoisseurs. Don Papa Masskara is distilled from molasses - known as "black gold" - and then aged in American oak barrels.
The rum is blended with a pot still infusion of calamansi - a Philippine lime and siling labuyo - a Philippine chili pepper and sweetened with regional honey.
