Don Papa Baroko is a limited collector's edition rum inspired by the pompous Baroque period and was originally produced only for the French market. The bottle is cloaked in a beautiful design with striking colorful details. It hides a smooth and balanced rum that has aged in American oak barrels.
The rum is made from molasses on the Philippine island of Negros, where one of the sweetest sugar canes in the world is grown. Also nicknamed Sugarlandia. The rum aged at the foot of Mount Kanlaon in ex-bourbon barrels. Interestingly, it is a single island rum, meaning that the entire process from growing the cane, through processing, distillation, aging, to bottling takes place on the same island.
This piece is part of a series dedicated to the protection of the island of Negros – the Eternal Spring in Sugarlandia edition follows a previous successful initiative. The design of the tube features local flora based on the work of Fray Manuel Blanca, with a portion of the proceeds supporting a project for the restoration of Philippine rainforests and reefs.
In gift packaging containing the original Don Papa tube in the same design.
