Don Papa Baroko Eternal Spring
Don Papa Baroko is a limited collector's edition rum inspired by the pompous Baroque period and originally produced only for the French market. The bottle is wrapped in a beautiful design with striking colourful details. It contains a smooth and balanced rum that has matured in American oak barrels.
The rum is made from molasses on the Philippine island of Negros, where one of the sweetest sugar canes in the world is grown. It is also known as Sugarlandia. The rum is aged at the foot of Mount Kanlaon in ex-bourbon barrels. An interesting fact is that this is a single island rum, which means that the entire process, from growing the cane to processing, distillation, ageing and bottling, takes place on one and the same island.
This piece is part of a series dedicated to the protection of Negros Island – the Eternal Spring in Sugarlandia edition follows on from a previous successful initiative. The tube design depicts local flora based on the work of Fray Manuel Blanco, with part of the proceeds supporting a project to restore Philippine rainforests and reefs.
The gift box contains the original Don Papa tube in the same design.
