Description
North of Port-au-Prince, in Saint Michel de l'Attalaye, Michel Sajous built a small distillery where his family had lived since 1960. It is located in the middle of a 30-hectare plantation planted with various varieties of organically grown sugar cane, including a gem in the form of a rare sugar cane. With the help of steam, concentrated syrupy cane juice is extracted from it, from which this Haitian agricole rhum Clairin Sajous is produced after fermentation with natural yeasts.
Aroma: rich tones of sugar cane, licorice and pepper
Taste: lively with intoxicating flowers, orange and lychee
Conclusion: long, reminiscent of lilies, hazelnuts and straw
