Clairin Vaval Rum 2022

Clairin Vaval (bottling 2022) is a Haitian rum made from the juice of organically grown sugarcane. It is handcrafted distilled in the village of Cavaillon at the Arawaks distillery.

This is a rum known as mono-varietal, produced from the sugarcane Madame Meuze. Fermentation is spontaneous, meaning the yeasts are natural. The fermented cane juice has been distilled since 1947 by the family business Fritza Vavala using the unique home distillation method Column Still.

The result is a strong and flavor-rich, young overproof rhum in the French style with a high 53.3 % alcohol content without any embellishment from additives.

The rum comes in a gift carton featuring illustrations of the inhabitants of Haiti.
