Rum Fire is a high ester white overproof rum from Jamaica's traditional Hampden Estate distillery. This rum is popular with bartenders all over the world, thanks to its distinctive taste and flammability.
10-14 days of fermentation in the fresh air is not the only way Hampden promotes the growth of bacteria and the production of esters in their rum. The manufacturer also adds to the mixture the amount of rich-acid residue that remains in the distillation column from previous distillations. Finally, Rum Fire contains an incredible 500 to 570 ppm (parts per million) of ester and thus belongs to the LORK category. The water used to produce rum is obtained through a patented mountain water collection system and returns only clean water to the ground.
