Hampden HLCF Classic is a great introduction to the world of high-ester rums. This pure single Jamaican rum aged 4 years in a tropical climate, which is equivalent to 12 years of aging in Europe due to the angel's share. Wild fermentation with natural yeasts, Pot Still distillation, and aging in wood ensure a high level of esters, specifically from 400 to 600 g/HLPA. So, lovers of high-ester rums are sure to enjoy it.
HLCF stands for Hampden Light Continental Flavoured. This rum is characterized not only by its esters but also by its strength, evidenced by its 60% alcohol content. Nevertheless, it remains refined and smooth, with a delicious, woody, and spicy aroma.
