Arran Sauternes Cask Finish

Arran Sauternes Cask Finish is an exceptional Scotch single malt whisky from the independent Arran distillery, established in 1995. It matures first for 6 – 8 years in ex-bourbon casks and then undergoes a final maturation in casks that previously held Sauternes sweet wine from the Bordeaux region for 8 – 12 months. This process places it in the Arran Cask Finish series, which is part of the distillery's main portfolio.

On the nose, this Island whisky is sweet and subtly floral, with notes of honey, apricots, bananas, pears, and white grapes, complemented by vanilla and floral nuances. The palate combines honeyed sweetness with warming spices, refreshing citrus notes, gentle sea saltiness, and a hint of ginger. The finish is long, sweet, and balanced, with notes of orange, spice, and delicate oak.

This whisky is ideal neat at room temperature or with a few drops of water to help develop its aromatic complexity. Due to its sweetness and spicy character, it pairs well with desserts, baked fruits, mild cheeses, or as an after-dinner treat.

Bottled at 50 % alcohol content, in a volume of 0.7 l, and delivered in a gift tube.
