Arran Sauternes Cask Finish

Arran Sauternes Cask Finish is an exceptional Scotch single malt whisky from the independent Arran Distillery, founded in 1995. It is initially matured for 6–8 years in ex-bourbon casks, followed by a final maturation period of 8–12 months in casks that previously held sweet Sauternes wine from the Bordeaux region. This process places it within the Arran Cask Finish series, which forms part of the distillery’s core range.

On the nose, this Island whisky is sweet and gently floral, with notes of honey, apricots, banana, pears, and white grapes, complemented by vanilla and floral nuances. The palate combines honeyed sweetness with warming spice, refreshing citrus notes, a touch of coastal salinity, and hints of ginger. The finish is long, softly sweet, and well balanced, with notes of orange, spice, and gentle oak.

This whisky is best enjoyed neat at room temperature or with a few drops of water to help раскры its aromatic complexity. Thanks to its sweetness and subtle spiciness, it pairs well with desserts, baked fruit, mild cheeses, or as an after-dinner indulgence.

It is bottled at 50% ABV, in a 0.7 l bottle, and presented in a gift tube.
