Machrie Moor Cask Strength

The classic fresh Scottish Machrie Moor Cask Strength Single Malt whisky was crafted to encapsulate the rugged and myth-laden land of the island Arran. Sharp citrus notes and dense peat smoke. This single malt whisky, produced at the Lochranza Distillery, is one of the original, very first fermented single malts distilled on the island of Arran. It is made without cold filtration, without added colorings, and without dilution.

The inspiration for the name and packaging of this whisky comes from a legend that took place on the western coast of the island of Arran at a mythical peat bog called Machrie Moor. There are scattered stone circles from the Bronze Age. One of the stone circles is known as Fingal’s Cauldron Seat. It is a stone shaped like a seat to which the legendary warrior Fingal allegedly tied his beloved dog Bran.
