Arran Amarone Cask Finish

This exceptional Island single malt whisky Arran Amarone Cask Finish comes from the Arran distillery on the Scottish Isle of Arran, which has been operating since 1995. The whisky first matures in traditional ex-bourbon casks for approximately 7 – 8 years and then undergoes final maturation in Amarone casks, a wine from the Veneto region of Italy. This combination gives the drink an intense red color and a pronounced fruity character.

The aroma intertwines juicy cherry and plum with hints of spices and chocolate – some notes even suggest a chocolate-orange line, roasted almonds, or cranberries. The taste reveals dark chocolate tones, cherries, Turkish delights, stewed fruit, caramel, and even warming cinnamon and dried apricots.

It is best enjoyed neat at room temperature or with a few drops of water to enhance the layers of aromatic complexity. It pairs wonderfully with dark chocolate, dried fruits, or aged cheeses, which beautifully complement its fruity-spicy profile.
