Arran Amarone Cask Finish
This exceptional Island single malt whisky Arran Amarone Cask Finish comes from the Arran Distillery on Scotland’s Isle of Arran, which has been operating since 1995. The whisky is initially matured in traditional ex-bourbon casks for approximately 7–8 years, followed by a final finishing period in Amarone wine casks from the Veneto region of Italy. This combination gives the whisky an intense ruby-red hue and a pronounced fruity character.
On the nose, juicy cherry and plum intertwine with hints of spice and chocolate—some notes also suggest chocolate orange, toasted almonds, and cranberries. The palate reveals dark chocolate notes, sour cherries, Turkish delight, stewed fruits, caramel, warming cinnamon, and dried apricots.
Best enjoyed neat at room temperature or with a few drops of water to unlock its layers of aromatic complexity. It pairs beautifully with dark chocolate, dried fruits, or mature cheeses, which complement its fruity and spicy profile.
Bottles are presented in elegant gift tubes.
