Arran Port Cask Finish

This bold Scotch single malt whisky Arran Port Cask Finish comes from the Arran Distillery on the Scottish Isle of Arran, operating since 1995. It is initially matured for approximately 8 years in traditional ex-bourbon casks to develop its core structure. It is then transferred for a final maturation in port wine casks sourced from Portugal. The resulting whisky is bottled without chill filtration and with natural colour, at 50% ABV.

The nose reveals notes of crème caramel, forest fruits (strawberries, raspberries), blackcurrants, vanilla and gentle spicy nuances (cinnamon, mint, sweet spices). On the palate, the whisky is creamy with layered flavours of fruit, ginger, black pepper, cocoa and punch.

It will be especially appreciated by those who favour bold and higher-strength Island whiskies — ideally enjoyed at room temperature, or with a few drops of water to open up the aromas. Thanks to its richness, it works beautifully on its own, while also pairing well with dark chocolate, fruit desserts, or mature aromatic cheeses.
