Talisker The Distillers Edition

Distillers Edition is a collection of master craftsmanship. Each cask in this series is individually selected and perfectly matched to the character of each of the refined single malt whiskies. The two-part maturation process adds greater depth and complexity, which is the idea behind the limited edition DISTILLERS EDITION: to preserve the excellence of single malt whiskies that have already been praised for their exceptional flavours.

Selected flavour nuances are more strongly accentuated in a way not found in ordinary bottlings, while fully preserving the original character of these fine single malt whiskies.

Since 1997, the Distillers Edition has released limited quantities each year, each of which is very true to its origins, yet rich in depth. This superb Talisker was first matured in filled American and European oak casks. The second maturation was completed in heavily seasoned American oak Amoroso casks.

Slightly richer than the original bottling, the Amoroso Seasoned Casks give Talisker a wonderfully rounded and juicy fruit sweetness that perfectly complements the crisp, dry peat smoke and familiar spiciness.

Distillers Editions have already won awards at major international competitions. Their international success and widespread acclaim mark out these annual collections as representative of true special edition whiskies. The bottles are bottled at 45,8% alcohol with a 0,7 l capacity and come in beautifully designed gift boxes.
