Talisker Dark Storm 1l
Add a tasting glass and elevate your experience to the next level!
Talisker Dark Storm is rougher compared to other whiskies from the Talisker brand, as the malt is exposed to peat smoke for longer during drying, and the barrels in which this whisky matures are charred a bit more. The result is a more complex, robust, and larger whisky with sweet notes of blackcurrants and sweet licorice, enveloped in a heavy veil of smoke.
Compared to the regular Talisker, it is indeed rougher. The malt is exposed to peat smoke for a longer time during drying, and the barrels in which "Dark Storm" matures are charred a bit more than those of the classic "Storm".
The Talisker Distillery on the island of Skye was founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill. The distillery has undergone several ownership changes until it was purchased by Alexander Grigor Allan in 1880 and completely rebuilt.
Since 1997, the whisky is not stored on the island, but on the mainland. Talisker whisky is part of the Johnnie Walker and White Horse blends, but most of the production is bottled as single malt. It has a very distinctive flavor, earning it the nickname "lava from Cuillins."
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 45.8% with a volume of 1 l. They are delivered in beautiful gift boxes featuring a dark storm motif.
