Tajna Sunset Semillon 2022

Dry white wine without a geographical indication with a golden-green color Tajna Sunset Semillon, comes from the vineyard Sari, winery Tajna, vintage 2022.

The aroma is fruity but at first sniff reveals that the wine has matured in oak barrels. On the palate, the wine is harmonious, lively with notes of dried apricots with a hint of vanilla.

The grapes for this wine were harvested in the Sari vineyard on October 3, 2022. The sugar content of the grapes at harvest was at 22 °NM. After processing the grapes and fermenting the must, the wine was racked off the lees and subsequently transferred to barrels.

Oak barrels with a volume of 300 l provided a home for the Semillon for another 10 months. During its stay in them, the wine was regularly monitored and topped up. Over time, the wine was racked from the barrels, clarified, filtered until finally after more than a year it was bottled.

We recommend serving the wine at a temperature of 8 – 10 °C in slightly closed tulip glasses with a volume of 450 – 500 ml.

Food pairing recommendations include freshwater fish, quail meat, or hard cheeses.
