The Vráble area has long been identified by our ancestors as ideal for grape growing, and the tradition of viticulture in this region dates back to the 12th century. In Vráble and the surrounding villages, it was natural for each family to own a vineyard, and the method of wine production was instilled in everyone from a young age.

On the Sari estate (16 hectares) and Nad Hoferskou (9 hectares), a total of 25 ha of vineyards are cultivated. Both are located at an altitude of 175 m above sea level. Here you will find traditional varieties of the region such as Rizling Vlašský, Sauvignon, Müller Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir, as well as varieties that are more internationally known like Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot.

The first known owner of the vineyards around the Tajna winery was the Tekov county head Ján Tajnai, who built a mansion in the village of Tajná in 1840. Upon his death, the estate in Tajná passed to the prominent Hungarian noble family Revay. Count Šimon Révay, the head of the Hungarian government, owned vineyards on the same Sari estate where the winery's vineyards now stretch.

The Revay noble family significantly contributed to the development of viticulture in the region. The count primarily planted the Othello and Blue Portugal varieties, which he processed in his “vincovní” in the midst of the vineyards. However, he used the finished wine for brandy production.

A closer history of the vineyards was formed by the Agricultural Cooperative Mier Vráble, which took over the vineyards from the counts, planting the Rizling Vlašský, Veltlín zelený, and Tramín červený varieties.

Due to the poor condition and unsuitable orientation of the vineyards, after the purchase, the owners decided in 2008 to clear the old vineyard and prepare the land for planting new ones. And thus began to write a new history for Tajná, under the brand TAJNA.
