Ledaig Hebridean Moon
Add a tasting glass and elevate your experience to the next level!
Ledaig Hebridean Moon is a groundbreaking release from the Tobermory distillery – for the first time in history, fans of the brand can enjoy a 10-year-old whisky bottled at cask strength.
This unique single malt was created from distillate made in new stills installed in 2014 and matured for over a decade in carefully selected bourbon casks. The whisky is a tribute to the Isle of Mull and its mystical history, specifically the ancient Baliscate Stones, which were once used to track the lunar cycle and symbolize new beginnings.
Ledaig Hebridean Moon retains the characteristic peaty profile of Ledaig whisky, but at cask strength 58.8% it offers an even more intense and profound experience.
On the nose, layers of earth and smoke give way to vanilla, rich cream, and candied fruit with a hint of spice. On the palate, citrus freshness explodes reminiscent of lemon pie, complemented by notes of leather, tobacco, and lightly charred oak. The finish is long, warming, with gentle smoke and a touch of cinnamon.
This limited edition was created not only as a celebration of the brand's evolution but also as a gesture of solidarity with the island community. A portion of the proceeds from sales supports the local charity Mull and Iona Community Trust and conservation efforts in the Ardura Community Forest.
The visual aspect is complemented by a poetic photograph from island ambassador and photographer Gordon Buchanan, who captured the nocturnal spirit of Mull in the packaging of this exceptional whisky.
