Ledaig Triple Wood
Ledaig Triple Wood whisky is created by combining three different whiskies – one part is matured in ex-bourbon casks, another in port wine casks, and the third in wine casks.
Master Blender Julieann Fernandez has harmoniously blended these three distinctive profiles to celebrate partnerships with photographer Gordon Buchanan and the Mull & Iona Community Trust and to support the restoration of the island's natural environment.
The nose reveals sweet notes of stewed pears with hints of cinnamon, butter and cream. The flavors transform the apple strudel and vanilla ice cream introduction into a sophisticated composition of black pepper, wood smoke, burnt oak, and molasses-caramel toffee. The finish is long and smoky, with cloves and a hint of maple syrup.
The flavor palette shows the typical character of Ledaig – a sharp peaty base complemented by the sweetness of fruit and the rich complexity of three wood influences. The whisky is full, creamy, and elegant in its powerful presentation. Each sip symbolizes the connection between the brand, the artist, and the community – in a single malt edition.
The bottles are filled with 53,8 % alcohol by volume, have a volume of 0,7 l and are delivered in gift boxes.
