Islay Whisky Collection – Tasting Set of 6 Scotch Whiskies
The latest release from Port Askaig. An excellent 8-year-old single malt Scotch whisky sourced from undisclosed distilleries on the island of Islay. This pleasantly smoky and elegant whisky is a great introduction to the Port Askaig range. It is suitable for the most discerning connoisseurs and beginners alike.
The whisky has been created by blending a number of single malt whiskies that have been matured in selected ex-bourbon casks, toasted American oak casks, ex-sherry casks and Hogsheads. As a result, it has subtle, smoky aromas.
To preserve the full structure of the whisky, it is made without chill-filtration or colouring. The bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 45,8 %.

Kilchoman Machir Bay is an excellent but mainly high-quality Scotch single malt whisky, originating from the Islay. The Kilchoman distillery was opened in 2005, making it (so far) the second youngest distillery in this region. This bottling is named Machir Bay after a small but very beautiful beach on the island of Islay.
The whisky aged for approximately 6 years, with most of the distillate maturing in first- and second-fill ex-bourbon casks, while a portion (about 10%) of the distillate aged in first-fill ex-sherry Oloroso casks, resulting in an amazingly balanced flavor profile.
It has a fantastically pleasant aroma with notes of vanilla cookies, orchard fruits, and warm peaty smoke. On the palate, this whisky is silky smooth and rounded, featuring notes of earthy peat, lemon juice, oak, vanilla and a hint of sour forest fruits.
Bottled at 46% alcohol by volume, without coloring or chill filtration.
We recommend serving it with a drop of water, but it tastes best neat at room temperature. It comes in a very nice blue and gold gift packaging.

Laphroaig Quarter Cask is a double-matured whisky that intensifies the deep peat and adds surprising sweetness. Thanks to the contact with wood from smaller quarter casks, it is the most vibrant expression of the brand.
Larger casks do not mean better flavor. The proof is Laphroaig Quarter Cask, inspired by the old tradition of transporting whisky by horse. Fortunately for the aforementioned horses, it was stored in smaller quarter casks.
Their reduced size means that the distillate has greater contact with the wood, enhancing the natural flavors of the whisky, which first matured in ex-bourbon casks.
This whisky from quarter casks is filtered through a barrier to preserve all the character developed in small but powerful casks. Enjoy the smooth and velvety single malt whisky full of unexpected vibrant notes, greater flavor, and aroma.
When sipping Laphroaig Quarter Cask whisky, you sense smoldering coals and hints of coconut and banana. The taste is deep, complex, and smoky, yet surprises with a gentle sweetness. It has a long finish that dries to smoke and spice.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 48% with a volume of 0.7 l and are delivered in gift cartons.
Ardbeg 10 Year Old is a whisky with a color reminiscent of fine sherry. The taste features smoke, saltiness, and iodine dryness, yet has a mild sweetness. The finish is heavier, lingering with iodine.
Ardbeg 10 is considered the most peaty, most curious, and most complex single malt whisky in the world. Despite this, it does not boast of its peatiness, rather yielding to the natural sweetness of the malt, creating a perfectly balanced whisky.
An explosion of intense smoky fruit escapes into the atmosphere of peat filled with zesty lemon and lime, wrapped in waxy dark chocolate. Bold menthol and black pepper cut through the sweet smoke, followed by tarry ropes and graphite. Enjoy the aroma of smoked fish and crispy bacon along with green pepper, roasted pineapple, and pear juice.
Add water and oceanic minerality brings a hint of cool, salty seawater. Followed by wax, lemon, and lime with coal tar soap, beeswax, and herbal pine needles. Toasted vanilla and cinnamon simmer with warm hazelnut and almond caramel.
Unchill-filtered. Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 46% with a volume of 0.7 l. They are delivered in gift cartons.
This 12-year-old single malt whisky is bottled at the Caol Ila distillery. It is defined as a light and fresh whisky with pronounced smoky notes. A balanced taste with peaty beauty.
The production process of Caol Ila 12-year-old whisky begins with grinding barley malt and mixing it with water from peat bogs located right by the distillery. This mixture is then fermented and subsequently distilled twice in traditional copper pot stills, giving the whisky its characteristic flavor.
After distillation, the whisky matures for a minimum of 12 years in oak casks, which often previously held sherry. This long maturation allows the whisky to develop its rich and complex flavor. Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 43% and come in gift boxes.
We recommend serving at room temperature or with a cube of ice. Ideal for slow sipping.
This single malt whisky from the island of Islay is not for the faint-hearted. Smokehead is iconic, unrestrained and provocative – just as a true rebel should be. With a distinctive dose of peat smoke, sea breeze and a pinch of madness, it will instantly win the hearts of all those who love rough yet sensual flavors.
Created under the auspices of the independent company Ian Macleod, its original distillery remains a secret, adding to its mystery and charisma.
Smokehead hides not only strength but also surprising depth. The aroma is dominated by thick peat smoke mixed with notes of grilled citrus fruit, salty sea and ginger. The palate surprises with a delicate sweetness – lemon zest, honey, plum jam and a hint of vanilla contrast with the earthy peat. Its taste is wild yet harmonious, as if dancing on the edge between fire and ocean.
This beauty carries the soul of Islay – uncompromising, smoky and seductive. With an alcohol content of 40 %, it is a great introduction to the world of peaty whiskies, but it will also appeal to experienced lovers of distinctive single malts. Smokehead doesn't mince its words – it simply gets straight to the point and leaves an impression that is not easily forgotten.
