Port Askaig is a small but important village on the north-east coast of Islay. Nestled on ancient granite cliffs along the Sound Of Islay channel, Port Askaig was and still is the gateway to Islay. From the centuries-old raiders and traders of the past to the tourists, whisky explorers and island lovers of today. Whisky is named after this special place.

Port Askaig Islay Single Malt Whisky was created in 2009 by independent company Elixir Distillers. Although a small company, Elixir Distillers and its founders have been globally recognised by the prestigious International Wine and Spirits Competition.

Each expression of Port Askaig is carefully aged and blended by Oliver Chilton. It is crafted exclusively to reflect the essence of the beauty of Islay. This elegant, balanced and refined liquid offers flavours ranging from the smoke of bonfires and peat bogs to the gentle salty sea air.
