Port Askaig is a small but important village on the northeastern coast of Islay. Nestled on ancient granite rocks along the Sound Of Islay canal, Port Askaig has been and still is the gateway to Islay. From centuries-old raiders and traders of the past to tourists, whisky explorers, and island lovers today. The whisky is named after this exceptional place.

Port Askaig Islay Single Malt Whisky was created in 2009 by the independent company Elixir Distillers. Although it is a small company, Elixir Distillers and its founders have been globally recognized by the prestigious International Wine and Spirits Competition.

Each expression of Port Askaig is carefully aged and blended by Oliver Chilton. It is crafted solely to reflect the essence of the beauty of Islay. This elegant, balanced, and refined liquid offers flavors ranging from smoky bonfires and peat bogs to delicate salty sea air.
