Hampden Estate HGML 12 Year Old Rare Cask Series #24
Hampden Estate HGML 12 Year Old Rare Cask Series #24 is not only a luxury but also a rare Jamaican rum with a truly very high ester content of 1,000 - 1,100 g/hL. This is the maximum value permitted by legislation in Jamaica. It is also one of the rarest cases of 12-year-old rum with the HGML designation (very high ester level).
As the ester level suggests, this is a bold rum with an exceptionally rich aromatic and flavor profile. It opens with strong yet elegant empyreumatic, medicinal, volatile waxy-banana notes along with striking tones of freesia and lime flowers. Subsequently, this rum reveals a multitude of different shades and its delicate character filled with flavor notes of fresh fig, oranges, acacia honey, and cocoa.
