Habitation Velier Himmaleh White 2025

Habitation Velier Himmaleh White 2025 is a white Pure Single Rum from Himmaleh Distillery, located at the foothills of the Himalayas in the Kashipur region of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. This is an exceptional collaboration with Habitation Velier, aimed at showcasing the character of the previously little-known Himalayan rum terroir.

The rum is made exclusively from 100% Indian sugarcane. This expression, referred to as Neoli, is created by combining four varieties of sugarcane selected to best capture the character of the local environment. Fermentation lasts for 80 hours.

Distillation takes place exclusively in a 1,000-liter Hagyo pot still directly at Himmaleh Distillery. Thus, it is a 100% pot still distillation, characteristic of the Habitation Velier collection.

The pronounced aromatic character of the rum is also documented by its analytical profile. At the time of distillation, the congeners content reaches 318.1 g/hlpa, with 35.4 g/hlpa being esters. It was bottled in 2025 at a higher strength of 56% alcohol. The label also states “No sugar added,” meaning no added sugar.

According to the producer, Himmaleh White represents a world premiere and a new perspective on the possibilities of Pure Single Rums produced in the Himalayan region.
